Cando’s history

Collection

Cando is a hamlet in the Rural Municipality of Rosemount No. 378, about 48 kilometres south of North Battleford on Highway 4. It sits along the remains of the historic Swift Current–Battleford Trail. The community took its name from Cando, North Dakota, the original home of Charles Alexander Coulton Edwards, its first postmaster.
